Dendretic Opal Necklace
This necklace is made with a dendretic opal that is pear shaped. The opal is see through in the center with an opaque white bottom with some small dendretic details at the top. The stone made me think of a winter scene. On the front of the stone I put a stag to make it look like he was walking through snow. On the back is a snow covered pine tree. If you hold the pendant up to the light, you can see the other side to give it an “atmosphere” to create a tiny little world inside the pendant. You could almost say the pendant is double sided.
The pendant is 2.5 X 3/4 inch in size. It is strung on a sterling silver chain with a snowflake on each link. The chain is 18 inches in length.
