Snow Agate Ring
This ring is made with a beautiful “diamond” shaped stone. For us geeks out there, it looks an awful lot like a rupee from a famed video game. The stone is called snow agate. It has subtle swirls in it like a snow storm. This particular stone has a small druzy spot on the side as well. (Druzy means covered with minute crystals : containing cavities lined with crystals).
I have it set on to a sterling silver ring that is completely hand fabricated. It is held in place with 4 intricate designed prongs that have a gothic feel to them. The band on the ring is a double band that has a design on the metal and it flairs out at the front. The whole piece has a patina added to enhance the subtle details in the metal.
The front of this ring where the stone sits is 3/4 X 1/2 inch in size.
